Get on Board!
The Bay City Public Schools Board of Education will have two (2) seats, six (6) year terms, on the November 3, 2026, general election ballot. Please note the following key dates for those interested in becoming a candidate:
- Candidate Filing Deadline at County Clerk's Office – July 21, 2026, by 4 pm (15th Tuesday before the November general election)
- This is the deadline to file your Affidavit of Identity along with nominating petitions or a $100 filing fee with the school district election coordinator.
- Withdrawal of Nomination Deadline: Friday, July 24, 2026, 4 pm. (on or before 4 pm of the third day after the last day for filing the nominating petition)
- This is the deadline for a candidate to withdraw their nomination.
- Write-In Candidates – October 23, 2026, by 4 pm (on or before 4:00 pm on the second Friday immediately preceding the election)
- This is the deadline to file a declaration of intent to be a write-in candidate.
- General Election: Tuesday, November 3, 2026 ( Board member elections are in even-numbered years on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November)
