Chromebook FAQ 2022-2023 - Answers to your questions about school Chromebooks.

By providing each student access to a Chromebook for use at school and at home during the school year, we aim to provide a student-centered learning environment that promotes creation and collaboration. Anytime a student uses school technology, whether at school or at home, their family assumes some risk. While the district assumes responsibility for repairs caused by device malfunction or maintenance issues, students and their families are responsible for theft or damages, whether intentional or accidental.

In order to help families mitigate some of that risk, we are offering a Chromebook Insurance Coverage Program. Participation in this program is optional and will provide an inexpensive solution to parents interested in reducing the financial burden if an accident or theft of their child's device occurs.

Families may decline to participate in the Chromebook Insurance Coverage Program but will be fully responsible for any associated cost for damage or theft. The Chromebook Insurance Coverage Program covers one school year (August 1 - July 31) and is non-refundable.
