District Overview & Reports
About Our District
Our school district is located in Bay City, Michigan and services students and families within parts of Bay and Saginaw Counties. Our facilities recently renovated for state-of-the-art learning, include seven elementary schools, two middle schools, two high schools, and one alternative education school serving 6,366 students.
The preparation and success of our students in our global society depend not only on how well they do in school but also on their exposure to a wide range of academic programs and extra-curricular activities. We are pleased to provide a wide array of these opportunities. We continuously review our instruction, practices, and services in order to respond to the needs of our students and parents - from our preschool program right up through high school.
In addition to preschool, Bay City Schools offer programs such as Gifted and Talented, dual enrollment with Delta College, Early College, arts and music, special education, co-op education, foreign language, alternative education, vocational education programs, Indian Education programs, and many after-school programs and student clubs and organizations as well as athletic programs beginning in elementary all the way up to our two Class A high schools.
Our Mission: We provide an engaging, diverse, and supportive learning environment that will allow each student to reach their fullest potential.
We are very fortunate to be part of a community with quality post-secondary educational opportunities and we enjoy strong partnerships with Delta College and Saginaw Valley State University. Our alliance with the Bay Area Community Foundation includes the Bay Commitment scholarship for “first in the family” college students and a College Access Network that helps students and parents with college exploration and decision making. We also have one of the largest school volunteer programs in public education with over 3,000 dedicated and caring parents and community members.
We have talented and dedicated employees who make every effort to provide ALL students with high-quality education in a safe learning environment.
