Volunteer Application

You can be a volunteer in the Bay City Public Schools. All you have to do is decide you want to do it, make a commitment and we will find a school and a job that fits your needs.

Volunteers work with children and schools in many ways including tutoring students, reading to children, assisting on the playgrounds or helping in libraries or computer labs. They also support activities outside the classroom such as chaperoning field trips and dances, attending booster club and parent/teacher organization meetings and helping with music and drama productions.

We have jobs and programs to fit every schedule, whether it is an hour a week or one day a month. The caring presence and individual attention of an interested volunteer can make a difference in a child's life.

The rewards are great - the opportunity to share in a child's education, being able to know the teachers and staff better, make new friends, and learn new skills. On top of all this, you will feel better knowing what a difference you are making!

People of all ages, professions and educational backgrounds are invited to join the Bay City Public Schools Volunteer Program. The only requirements are an interest in helping and a love of children.

The first step is to contact the building that you would like to volunteer in. Then we can discuss what your interests are and decide what would be the best placement for you.
